With the mighty Mr Nik unavailable for the night, Pointy frontman Mr Pete took over his drum duties for the evening and Mr Rich covered lead vocals in Pete's place, as Pointy Boss made it happen as a power trio. Pete had never played drums live before, and Rich last fronted a live band back in 1984 — but the band went for it just the same.

The non-stop flat-out twenty minute set that followed included Pointy classics including Baudeline and I Can See, but also older songs never performed live before like One Way Down, Where Did You Go? and End This Way. The Pointy threesome were joined by Craig (Snitch) for a raucous sing-along encore of Alcohol, Caffeine and Pills.
